Terms & Conditions – the basics
 Services Provided
Inverness Man and Van provides local man and van services including removals, house and office clearances, disposal, light vehicle and equipment transport, and specialist moves across Inverness and the Highlands.
Services are subject to availability and may vary depending on location, access, weather conditions, item size and weight, and the nature of the job.

Quotes & Pricing
Prices are provided in advance wherever possible, based on the information supplied at the time of enquiry.
Final charges may vary if job details change, including but not limited to additional items, restricted access, stairs, waiting time, or requirements not disclosed at the time of booking.
Any changes to pricing will be discussed and agreed before work is carried out.

Payments
Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept cash, card and bank transfer
Failure to make payment may result in items or vehicles being retained until payment is received, where legally permitted.

Liability & Limitations
While every reasonable care is taken, Inverness Man and Van is not liable for pre-existing damage to items, vehicles, or properties.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to items that were not disclosed, were poorly packed, or were already damaged prior to handling.
We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including traffic, weather conditions, access issues, or third-party delays.

Customer Responsibilities
You must provide accurate information about the items to be moved, collection and delivery locations, access restrictions, and any potential hazards.
You are responsible for ensuring clear and safe access at both collection and delivery points.
Any items requiring specialist handling must be declared in advance.

Cancellations
If a booking is cancelled after a vehicle has been dispatched, a call-out or cancellation fee may apply.
For pre-booked jobs, we ask that cancellations are made at least 24 hours in advance where possible.

Use of Subcontractors
Inverness Man and Van may, where necessary, use trusted subcontractors to assist with completing a service. Uplift Transport LTD remains responsible for ensuring appropriate standards are met.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
